In short
- Start with a clear brief and a realistic budget — €35,000 is our minimum for a complete project.
- Choose a single, English-speaking partner who can design, build and install.
- Approve every material by touch: ask for samples before you commit.
- Insist on regular photo updates and written notes from the workshop and the site.
- Agree timelines, deliverables and one point of contact in writing.
Start with a clear brief and a realistic budget
The most successful remote projects begin before any sketch. Gather photographs of rooms you love, define how each space will be used, and be honest about the investment you have in mind. In Tuscany, bespoke work is priced on scope, materials and detail — solid walnut and hand-carved joinery sit at a different level from veneered cabinetry, and the difference is visible for generations.
We work with a minimum project budget of €35,000. Setting that expectation early means every decision that follows — from the woods we select to the fittings we specify — is grounded in reality rather than revised later.
Choose a single partner you can trust
A renovation involves an architect, a geometra, builders, electricians and craftsmen. Coordinating them from another country is where most projects go wrong. Where possible, work with one partner who can take responsibility for the whole picture — design, manufacturing and installation — and who communicates in your language.
Our own workshop in Cascina, Pisa allows us to control quality at every stage, and our English-speaking team acts as your eyes and ears on the ground, liaising with local trades on your behalf.
Design and approve remotely, with confidence
You do not need to be in Tuscany to make good decisions. If you prefer, we begin with a video consultation on Zoom or Google Meet; otherwise we talk by WhatsApp or the contact form. Then we share measured drawings and photorealistic 3D concepts so you can see your interiors take shape before a single board is cut. Revisions are normal — it is far easier to move a wall on screen than on site.
Materials are the one thing best judged by hand. A curated sample box — solid wood essences such as walnut and chestnut, fabrics and hand-finished surfaces — is sent directly to your home so you can approve every finish in your own light, at your own pace.
Keep a sightline on the site
Progress should never be a mystery. Throughout fabrication we send regular photographs and short written notes by WhatsApp or email. You see progress at each stage and can reply in the same thread.
A video call is only for the first consultation, and only if you prefer it. After that, we stay in touch by WhatsApp, email or the contact form.
Plan for shipping, timing and handover
A bespoke kitchen or single room usually takes three to five months from approved design to installation. Full villa restorations and complete interiors typically run from six to twelve months, depending on scope, materials and site conditions. The more decisions are made up front, the smoother the calendar.
When the work is ready, white-glove delivery and installation in your villa completes the project. One accountable partner, from concept to the last drawer slide — and a handover you can enjoy immediately, whether you are there or not.
